About Our School

The Nail Institute is Montana's only dedicated nail technology school. We offer part-time and full-time options so that you can fit the necessary classes for your education into your busy schedule. Learn how to select the ideal products to meet clients' needs and build technical skills and enthusiasm for the nail technology industry.

At The Nail Institute, we are an OPI school that has an educated and professional staff that will prepare you for the state licensing exam and entry into the industry. Our school teaches you the basic principles so you can become a nail technician, salon owner or manager, manufacturer representative, or product educator.

Nail Technology Program

Our Nail Technology program is a 9.5-week training program, with the first 80 hours focused on basic intensive training. You will take courses in the following topics:
• Salon Management
• Bacteriology
• Manicures
• Pedicures
• Applications
• Use of Manicuring Implements
• Manicure Chemistry and Nail Care
• Current State Board Laws and Rules
• School Discretion
