Overview
We believe that education is an adventure and that the learning experience needs to be fun. When you tour any Paul Mitchell School, you'll notice something different. Our students are actually "Future Professionals". We focus on your future and provide you with a positive learning environment and a culture that inspires confidence and success. Our schools are learning communities that provide you with the opportunities to develop essential skills while you explore your talents, passion, and creativity.

Our instructors-we call them "Learning Leaders"-are trained to draw out the artist in you and then prepare you to compete in the real world. Rather than concentrate only on the basic training needed to pass state licensing board exams, every Paul Mitchell School provides you with a well-rounded lifestyle education. Our experienced staff is specially trained to help you explore all your creative and professional possibilities. Our talented Learning Leaders provide extensive hands-on and classroom training in the program you choose.

Basic Cosmetology
The Ohio Academy ONLY OFFERS A 1500 Cosmetology program.  We do NOT offer programs for Esthetician or Nails. 

Our basic 1500 hour cosmetology program features design, cutting, coloring, multicultural techniques, makeup, fashion trends, and the art of hairdressing in a three-phase program we call CORE, ADAPTIVE, and CREATIVE.

CORE - Learn the rules! In this introductory course, you'll learn the basics that will let you confidently begin working on guests, and your Learning Leaders will help you blend professional skills with personal development.

ADAPTIVE - Bend the rules! Building on the skills you learned in CORE, this intermediate level teaches the value of time management, retailing, and the art of successful communication.

CREATIVE - Break the rules! This final phase takes you through advanced hairdressing and chemical work. During your last months and weeks toward graduation, you'll spend your time in high gear, preparing yourself for your State Board examination and future salon career.

Enrollment

Admission Requirements
To enroll in the Cosmetology Program, you must be at least 16 years of age and be a high school graduate with a diploma or have a GED certificate. A formal interview with the Admissions Leader is required.

Available Class Times
The Ohio Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School offers both a full time day program and a part time evening program for your convenience.

Financial Aid
The Ohio Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School is fully accredited and certified by the United States Department of Education to offer federal financial aid to qualifying individuals to assist with tuition costs. Our Financial Aid Leader is an expert and available to answer all your questions regarding the application process for financial aid, the funds you may qualify for, or anything else you may want to know. We also offer flexible payment plans.

Scholarships
The Ohio Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School offers scholarship opportunities with its "Give Back to Get Back" Scholarship program. Our school culture promotes a spirit of giving back and each year our Future Professionals donate their time, talent and energy to support a variety of charitable causes. Because of our commitment to a "giving back" culture and our dedication to supporting those who serve their communities, our school offers $1,000 scholarships throughout the year to individuals demonstrating that same give back attitude in their own communities. Professional Guidelines
Every Paul Mitchell School is committed to providing a safe, professional, positive, and compassionate atmosphere to facilitate the learning experience for all Future Professionals. School policies and professional guidelines will be provided by our school upon enrollment.

Housing
The Ohio Academy, Paul Mitchell Partner School can assist Future Professionals in finding suitable housing, but does not own or operate student housing.
