Skills for Success
Our Cosmetology Course incorporates hours of extensive hands-on learning to provide you with a complete understanding of beauty and wellness. Upon completion, you'll be prepared for a career as a hair stylist or technician, makeup artist or as an aspiring salon owner.

Your cosmetology school training encompasses three types of learning:

In THEORY, the student is instructed in all areas of theory related to hairdressing and cosmetology as- well as Connecticut State Laws. Theory is taught using Pivot-Point textbooks and study guides as well as other resource books and materials.

In the PRACTICAL segment, the student uses mannequins and other students to perform various services in the professional field of hairdressing and cosmetology. Classroom demonstrations and visual presentations may be used during Practical Instruction.

During the CLINICAL instruction, the student practices in a salon environment under the supervision of an instructor. Students are assigned clients and perform the same services they will perform after graduation and successful completion of the state board examination.
