Cosmetology Program

Our hands-on Cosmetology program can equip you with the skills that salon owners look for in candidates. Our program can instruct you in:

• Scientific Concepts - Learn basic sanitation as well as the fundamentals of hair, scalp, skin and nails.

• Physical Services - Study the latest information in client services, including shampoos and rinses, scalp and hair care, facials, manicuring, and artificial nails.

• Chemical Services - Discover the services that change hair from a drab situation to a fashion statement. Topics include hair color, hair lightening, chemical waving and chemical relaxing.

• Hair Design - Step away from normal haircutting and learn design styles that will keep your clients coming back for more! Learn hair shaping with razors and scissors, hairstyling through curl formation, comb-outs, and thermal waving.

As a student at Vernon's Kansas School of Cosmetology, you will also have a chance to learn important professional information. We offer training topics in business practices, state law and other subjects that address our students' specific needs.
