Welcome
Yvonne de Vilar Scientific Skin Care offers
comprehensive courses in Esthetics and Make
Up Artistry. We provide the training you
need to enter the busy, rewarding, lucrative
and nurturing beauty profession.
Our school staff and faculty are some of
the finest teachers and guest speakers available
anywhere. Our students are out on job interviews
well before they graduate and salon owners
are coming to the school to hire them before
someone else does.
Since September of 1999 our school has been
expanding at a rapid pace. We were able
to increase our classroom size and student
capacity. We occupy the entire 305 Maple
Avenue West building, allowing our School
and Salon to finally be under one roof.
This will also enable us to offer more courses
and salon services and encompass a larger
retail space.
In addition to our well-qualified staff,
we have added specialists in skin care and
medicine, who lecture or conduct work shops
as part of the Eesthetics Course.
Courses Offered
Virginia Esthetic Licensing becomes effective
in 2007. All those working in Virginia as
an Esthetician will be required to have
a license. The Virginia Legislature has
adopted a 2-tier system:
- Basic Esthetic License
- Master Esthetics License
Our courses have been developed to reflect
these changes. View the course descriptions,
