They must pass one of five national certification exams: the NCETMB, the NCETM, the MBLEx, the Asian Bodywork Therapy (ABT) exam, or the American Medical Massage Association exam. Veterans in Missouri may be eligible for reimbursement of their licensing examination fees. Through a combination of classroom hours and clinical practicum, students can expect to acquire and apply their knowledge of massage techniques and demonstrate a readiness to enter the field of massage therapy.
