Earn Your New Mexico Massage License

The Massage Therapy Board of New Mexico oversees the practice of individuals who use the title of massage therapist, or otherwise represent themselves to be massage therapists. New Mexico requires 650 hours of classroom learning at an approved massage therapy school in New Mexico. You will also be required to pass a national certification examination, either the NCETMB or the MBLEx. New Mexico massage therapy license candidates also must pass a jurisprudence examination to demonstrate their knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to massage in the state. Once licensed, massage therapists must complete 16 hours of continuing education every 2 years to maintain their licenses.
