Completing your licensing exams is the next step in becoming a manicurist. You must submit your application and a $285 payment to the Minnesota Board of Cosmetologist Examiners. They ensure that you have the necessary education and allow you to schedule your exams. Once you pass these exams, you become a licensed nail technician.

Education Details

At local nail technician programs, you get a fast-paced, in-depth introduction to important nail care techniques, tools, standards, and procedures. After you hit the books and learn the theory, you can put it to work by working with mannequins and clients.
