We're always on the hunt for healthy products that can make a difference in your daily beauty routine and not bring bad ingredients to the table. We can really be thrown off guard with all the products out there that claim to be organic, natural, holistic etc. If you've looked at our Toxic Cosmetics piece, you'll know we have a thorn in the side with beauty products that make claims of being organic, natural or herbal because the FDA doesn't regulate these claims at all. It's easy to get excited when you see a product that makes these claims but holds to the real classification of that label.
We ran across a natural body oil called Inner Senses Organic Beauty & Wellbeing - 7 Wonders Skin Panacea - Face & Body Oil mentioned over at FRUK Magazine. To our amazement, all of the product's ingredients are completely natural and derived from natural oils. Here's a list of the natural oils that are contained in the making of this Face and Body Oil:
- Chia Seed Oil
- Camellia Seed Oil
- Baobab Oil
- Black Seed Oil
- Apricot Kernel oil
- Arctic Blackcurrant C02 Extract
- Rosemary C02 Extract
There are a few other amazing ingredients but we wanted to really highlight the natural oils that come from useful plants and seeds and list them in a simple way. The exact ingredients and whether they are from organic origin or natural are listed at Inner Senses as the following:
"Ingredients/INCI: *Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) seed oil, *Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) Seed oil, *Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) kernel oil, *Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) seed oil, * Salvia Hispanica (Chia) seed oil, *Persea Gratissima (Avocado) oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E, non-GMO), Ribes Nigrum (Arctic Blackcurrant) seed CO2 extract, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), *Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) leaf CO2 extract **D-Limonene, Linalool
* Of organic origin
**Naturally present in essential oils"
This face and body oil is designed for damaged and dehydrated skin and has been said to rejuvenate it like magic. With that said, we haven't tried this product ourselves, we just saw the mention on Fruk Magazine as well as seeing that it won the "Beauty Shortlist Awards 2018 - Editor’s Choice." Another thing that we think is exciting is that this product takes care of a couple of products in one. It can serve as a face and body oil. As stated in Fruk Magazine, "There’s no need to waste your hard-earned wages on a separate face and body oil – this one multitasking product makes fast work of nourishing, repairing and renewing your face and body, with minimal effort (total result)!"
It's hard to find products that are completely natural on store shelves so when we find something that stands out from the crowd, we can't wait to point to it and oooooh and ahhhhh. Let us know what else you're finding out there that is truly organic, natural and holistic - we're always on the hunt!
