Cosmetology Through Dorsey School of Beauty's Cosmetology program, you can be on the cutting edge of hair styles, skin care, makeup artistry and overall beauty techniques. Responsibilities may include cutting, trimming and shaping hair based on customers' instructions; using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors to manage facial features; recommending beauty treatments and suggesting hair styles; scheduling client appointments; bleaching, dyeing or tinting hair using an applicator or brush; shampooing, rinsing, conditioning and drying hair; demonstrating and selling hair care products and cosmetics; developing new styles and techniques; and updating and maintaining customer information records.
