Our goal is to provide you with the most comprehensive, hands-on education possible, whether your passion is Cosmetology, Esthetics, Nail Tech, or Massage Therapy. We balance advanced, cutting edge techniques with a solid foundation. You will learn the rules and when to break them to get the desired result. We start with the leading textbook and add the newest trends (think hair extensions, multidimensional colors, mineral makeup, microdermabrasion, and natural products). Our curriculum is written by our own industry professional (who also has a degree in education). It was created and is continuously updated for the "right brained", creative student. We will guide you through your education, step-by-step. We do not rely on one company (or one hair product manufacturer) to supply us with an "off the shelf" system as many other schools do. This could limit your exposure to a lot of great information and techniques.

Additional considerations:

Three Week Guarantee: We allow you to experience our program for three weeks before deciding if our school/industry is right for you. At another school you would likely owe thousands of dollars after three weeks. Ask for details.

Weekly Advanced Classes: At Capri you are not done learning after basics. Our weekly advanced technique classes build on basic skills to shape the professional you will become.

Optional Degree in Entrepreneurial Cosmetology: This is offered in cooperation with NICC; perfect for those who want to be their own boss someday.

Salon like practical training: Our student salon area is newly remodeled and professionally equipped. We work hard to bring in clients so you will be confident in your technical and soft skills (what makes a great stylist a great success).

A unique system of goals and rewards (like the real world): This includes our Master Program (Saturday's optional, professional dress, and other "perks").

Experienced Educators: We pride ourselves on our professional and experienced educators. They receive specialized teacher training and many are sent around the country to learn advanced skills that will be passed on to you.

ACCSCT Accreditation: We are held to higher standards (i.e. instructor experience) than most other Cosmetology Schools. We hold ourselves to a higher standard, so we like it that way.

Products and Equipment: You will experience a wide variety of professional products from many different manufacturers, (some schools limit you to one) including ammonia free color, organics, and mineral makeup. Your equipment kit will be professional grade. It includes five mannequins (your first haircut client will appreciate this), three ceramic irons, three professional shears, ionic dryer, etc. You will be ready to hit the ground running upon graduation.

Career Placement Assistance: Our reputation, community involvement, and long-standing relationships with salons create a demand for our graduates and allow us to assist you with as many employment options as possible. Our placement advisor will help you find the right place to begin your career!

Technology: High speed internet access. PowerPoint presentations, interactive DVD's and other visual teaching technology; perfect for our modern, visual industry.

Federal Financial Aid is available in the forms of loans and grants for those who qualify. Capri (and many other) scholarships are also available.

Saturdays Are Optional for up to half of our program!

Most schools of our kind will tell you how they are different, or how they train only for the best salons; then the details get sketchy. Our advice: Talk to students and graduates of any school you are considering. Look at graduate success rates and reputation with local salons. Do they support their communities? What is their student/teacher ratio and teacher quality (i.e. does the school employ only professional, experienced teachers who will really care about you)?
