Our Program
Highlights
We have found finding that the majority
of employers are requesting dually licensed
therapists (ie graduates who are licensed
as both a massage therapist and licensed
aesthetician). Our Natural Aesthetics program
has been designed to be a comprehensive,
integrative, holistic, and "natural" approach
to skin care. The curriculum offers students
a broad foundation of classes integrating
the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual
aspects of health and beauty using Five
Element Theory as its education foundation.
We will be one of only two schools in the
country using the Five Element Therapy approach
as their educational foundation. This approach
is often considered to be 'advanced training'
for aestheticians.
Program
highlights include the following:
- Dual Licensing
- Aesthetician License
- Comprehensive & Integrative
- "Natural" and Holistic
- Broad foundation of classes
- Five Element Therapy Approach
- And much more...

A Growing Field
The spa industry has grown from just 3,000
spas in the U.S. a decade ago to 12,000+
spas today. According to the International
Spa Association (ISPA), there has been a
25 percent increase in the number of spas
between just 2002 and 2004. Current spa
revenues in the U.S. are around $11.1 billion,
and there are an estimated 281,000 people
employed by the U.S. spa industry. There
were 136 million spa visits made in the
U.S. in 2003 60 percent with 'day spas'
and27 percent to resort or hotel spas. (Massage
and Bodywork Magazine, April/May 2005).
Spas are now offering an array of skin and
bodywork treatments, as well as nutritional
and exercise advice. Massage and facials
are the top spa therapies requested today
in the U.S. In today's spas, facials are
the second most-purchased treatment, and
facial care products account for 27 percent
of spa purchases. (Massage and Bodywork
Magazine, April/May 2005).
