This school is a good place to get you started in the cosmetology industry, I personally went for the esthetics program and enjoyed it. I learned about sanitation, facials, lashes, brows, makeup, extractions and more. I feel like they are throuogh in preparing you for the state board and that is very helpful when it comes time for taking your test.

If I could give this school 0 stars I would have done it in a heartbeat. I attended Tom’s esthetician program and my overall experience was incredibly disappointing, offensive, inappropriate, and not what I thought I was going to be paying for. The actions day in and day out by someone who is supposed to be a trusted certified professional were inexcusable. Not only did he not do his job, but he also made it a difficult learning environment that my peers and I dreaded coming to. I feel bad for anyone that even considers Tom Sollock School of Hair and believe that he shouldn’t have the privilege to teach the future generations of beauty professionals. I have sent an email to the board of cosmetology describing my grievances.

I was a student at this school and I only speak the truth: Pros: If you already know everything there is to know about cosmetology and just need hours then I would advise going here. Cost is low but that also reflects on you pay for what you get. The owner has salesman come in to pitch a product but he labels it as a “class”. Cons: 1.) The owner flirts with a lot of the girls & women that attend the school & this is something I do not agree with which is why I decided to leave this review! 2.) If you are going for esthetician I would advise to look somewhere else. 3.) I did not learn anything valuable when it comes to being a hairstylist. 4.) There was a lot of drama with students and the staff (staff was the owner & 1 instructor) 5.) You have to keep track of your hours. 6.) There was no instructor for majority of the time I was there (about 6months). 7.) Pretty much all of the girls I went to school with did not learn anything while attending. 8.) Scam people out of money! I have nothing against Tom, but I do believe in speaking out when something is not right.
