Recently I was waiting for someone in a class at WCTC, and was looking for a place to work. Although a library was mentioned on the WCTC website, I don’t think I saw a sign for it anywhere on the building, around campus, or even the directory inside the building. Maybe I missed it though. It’s on the 2nd floor of building B, which if I remember was just to the right of the main building you see when you drive into the campus area. Note: I believe the library is called “Student Enrichment Center” on the floor plan map for Building B. Once you find it, it’s a great spot! Clean, bright and well-staffed. There weren’t a ton of shelves of books, but I’d suspect they cover necessary topics related to classes offered. Lots of different areas to study, quiet out-of-the-way seating, an area by a tv….it kind of had a library combined with a cool-area-to-get-work-done-in-a-nice-hotel vibe. Some of the seating areas were super weird and cool. One area had some space age looking easy chairs in individual cubbies with their own led lights, outlets and ottomans. I was there for about 4 hours in the middle of a week of the spring semester. The whole time only a few patrons came in that I saw. Seems like a possibly underused resource. Maybe people don’t realize it’s there? At any rate, very nice, well cared for library that would be a great place to get studying done with little interruption.
