In the School's Words
Our intention for Zeal Academy is to not only focus on the professional development of our staff and students, but personal development as well. We strive to create a positive working/conducive learning environment for our staff & students, by implementing accountability & integrity systems which stem from our core values & teachings. Soul meets Science: our students are taught how to be conduits in healing the physical, emotional, & spiritual body on an individual level.
Zeal Academy was founded in part with Zeal Salon Spa & Academy in the fall of 2019, by Katlyn Peacock & Randi Lynn Weiland with a combined 30 years of experience in all aspects of the industry & industry education.
Zeal Academy is perfectly located on the outskirts of Dubuque, near the community of Sageville. Our space offers a modern, rustic charm; our campus includes 8 fully furnished treatment rooms, able to accommodate 11+ guests, 2 fully equipped classrooms for both hands on learning and lecture, handicap accessibility & parking, a student lounge, laundry facility, a welcoming reception & retail area, a salon, 2 bathrooms (1 including a shower), an administration office, WiFi, & student/staff/client parking.
Our curriculum is approved by the state of Iowa (Iowa Department of Public Health); but because we are a new school, and the accreditation process takes approximately 2 years, Zeal is not yet accredited. Credits earned at the school may not transfer to accredited schools.
