If you’re looking for a beauty school to attend then this is definitely it! I graduated from here September 2025 and i’m now licensed and running my own business. It’s a very affordable program and they work with you so if you’re ever behind or need to take a break, they will accommodate you! Mrs. Angela and Mrs. Martha are amazing instructors and will guide you through the hands on practice. The best thing they do is encourage us to work on real models so when we graduate we are ready to work. They teach us advanced techniques as well. I am so happy I chose 249 Beauty College. I had a wonderful experience with them.

i highly do NOT recommend this school to anyone. they do not care about you or your education. my experience here was not good at all and here’s why. - miss angela is very pushy about religion. she would interrupt our theory class and talk about religion for more than half of the class time. while she can be helpful at times but when it comes to state board/ state board classes she is late. i had my state board class and i understand and want constructive criticism this was not it. after telling me what i messed up on she continued to degrade me and compare me to my fellow classmate who has taken more classes than me. when it was time to take our lash course she paused our lash class for about 2 months with no explanation then when we finally started lashes she rushed us to finish in 4-5weeks. she would rarely check up on students who are newer into lashes and focus on the students who already do lashes. while also teaching lashes she was more focused on the new facial class and would skip over lash students. she would also talk poorly about pass students to new students. most importantly she is bad at communication as you can see with the replies to these other reviews. - miss martha was very helpful with waxing, facials, and being hands on. my only complaint about her is when i had brought 2 models in to do facial services on she quickly told me to cancel them with no explanation as they were walking in the door. TDLR had just came into the school and she was a nervous wreck and it seemed like something sketchy is going on in the school. before i left for the day she had then explained to me that when TDLR is in the school we are not allowed to have clients/models in there. they make it sound like it’s not a legal thing to do when that’s what they always express us to do is bringing in models. - overall this school as a whole is very unorganized and lacks communication. when you first start classes you can use all the machines and rooms to do services but after you finish classes it changes and you’re only allowed to use certain machines on clients. for example i had a pregnant model and i had booked the service 2 weeks in advance but when the day came to do the service i was denied using the only machine i can use on my pregnant client with no explanation. also the fact that the school charges a $10 fee to bring in clients is crazy. they push so hard for students to bring in models but it is really for the money. also asked students to post a good review for the school in order to enter a raffle or giving money - the only good thing i would say about this school is the flexible schedule and the friendships you make since we go through hell in there

Amazing place! My sister is having such a good time going to this school. The staff is very professional and friendly and she tells me it’s a great stepping stone into the beauty industry. 10/10 recommend this place anything even thinking about trying it. Come by and speak to the super friendly receptionist. Tambien hablan español!
