In the beginning of this journey, I wasn’t too sure how I was going to complete the course. After the first week, everything became a little more manageable. The encouragement from my classmates, the staff at American Institute, and my instructor, Mrs. Julie—who has been nothing but a tower of strength—made all the difference. The encouraging words, study guides, and materials provided helped me become the phlebotomist I am today. Thank you to American Institute for giving me the opportunity to be a student and now a phlebotomist.

Just finished my final for phlebotomy and if you even have an inkling of wanting to try, I'd recommend the course. You get a lot of hands on experience with routine venipunctures and if your volunteers are willing, dorsal punctures. The teacher herself, Mrs. Julie, is a very kind, delightful person and is truly fount of knowledge and genuinely wants her students to succeed and be the phlebotobest they can be.

I attended this school in March of last year for my CNA license and had a great experience overall. My instructor was excellent, and the program itself was quick and efficient. After completing the course, I took my state exam and passed on my second attempt. I understand that everyone’s experience can be different, but I wouldn’t let that discourage you from attending. One thing to keep in mind is that the school seems to have frequent instructor turnovers, which I believe can impact the overall student experience based on the reviews I have read .
