Nancy Ngo and the Aveda team did an outstanding job on my 3C curly hair. Nancy was incredibly thorough from start to finish. She asked thoughtful questions about my hair challenges and was very intentional with every product she chose. She used special scalp treatments, moisturizing conditioner, and a lightweight oil that smelled amazing. She also recommended the new Tousle Texture dry texture spray, which added so much life and volume to my hair. My silk press came out stunning — super straight with beautiful movement, softness, and moisture. The instructors were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was fun and welcoming. I truly enjoyed the conversations and the experience. I highly recommend Nancy and the Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute of Houston!

Mauri did an amazing job on my hair! She took her time with every step—roots, toner, cut, and blow dry—and the result was absolutely beautiful. I really appreciated how attentive and detail-oriented she was, making sure everything blended perfectly and looked natural. My hair feels healthy, refreshed, and so much easier to maintain. Had my hair cut by Samantha! This was my first professional haircut in over 5 years and I was SO NERVOUS but the environment put me right at ease. Samantha was so kind and by the time I was done 4 different teachers had checked my hair so I knew we were on the same page the whole time! Sam did an amazing job and gave me the exact haircut I wanted! I could never see myself going anywhere else again it was so cheap and a great experience!

Express your creativity and talent! Our Cosmetology program and master student phase incorporate theory with extensive hands on experience to provide you with a complete understanding of beauty and wellness. The Cosmetology course includes hair cutting, color, texture services, nail care, makeup application, business development, retail knowledge and the concept of gaining and retaining clients.

Upon completion, students move on to the master student phase for intensive real-world training to hone their skills.

Cosmetology
