I had such a great experience at the Aveda Institute! Kylie Mitchell was absolutely amazing — so sweet, patient, and truly dedicated to making sure I didn’t leave her chair until I was completely satisfied. You can tell she really cares about her work and her clients. Her friends Charlotte and Ella were working nearby and made the whole experience even more fun — they’re such a lively and friendly trio! I’ll definitely be back every Friday in one of their chairs. Highly recommend! ✨

I would have loved to give it 5 stars simply for the students but it lacked in other ways. The students were amazing. The passion they have is so inspiring. Let's remember that while reading this review, they are students! I sat and watched one woman be so rude to a student that she walked off crying. I was appalled. You go there for the students to learn and practice. You receive a huge discount for the services received. You get what you get. I'll say that the teachers could make the experience a little more positive. They come at the start of the appointment and then nothing in between. If the instructor came to check in while the services are being rendered it would saved some heart ache. My cut was a little shorter then expected and not exactly what I wanted but it was good! The color was really great being I went in with needing a color repair from a bad toner job I did to myself. (In my defense, I was trying to repair a $500 hair color appointment gone bad, but that's another review) The employees and students were all so very friendly. So far we've gone for hair and back for facials. I highly recommend both. Just remember, they are students. Be transparent about what you want and don't want but also be realistic. They are learning. The one star was off because of the facility. My neck was bruised and sore for a week after being washed and rinsed at the sinks. It was so cold that I left with my hands and feet numb. Bring a drink, snack, and sweater. I was there for double the time of a regular salon visit due to their routines and the teaching aspect. It was worth it! Bye bye gray and it's growing in nicely. I'll go back for sure. Btw, free wash and blow outs on Friday and Saturdays!! Make sure to bring cash for a tip.

My first time here and I had a wonderful experience. My stylist, Emerald, was amazing and did such a lovely job bringing life back into my hair. Not only did she give me a great haircut, she's also such a wonderful person with such amazing energy about her - it felt like I was in the company of an old friend! Emerald, thank you. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors once your training is complete I'll definitely be a repeat customer here
