Editor's Description

Located in the heart of D.C., Bennett Career Institute helps all beauty school students become the best in their trade. On Google, Neva Faulkner raves about the institute, calling it "the best hair school in the District of Columbia for ethnic hair!"

The cosmetology and barber-styling programs take between a year and 18 months to complete. Esthetics and instructor programs take around five to nine months, while the hair braiding and makeup artistry programs only require five or six weeks.

Classes begin every Tuesday so students can enroll throughout the year, and they have an array of day or evening classes for full or part-time study.

The school also offers online continuing education courses for cosmetologists, barbers, manicurists, estheticians, and instructors who need to renew their professional licenses.
