I am a new full time administrator and instructor at Bonnie Joseph Academy. I am thrilled to be here! The instructors are wonderful as well as the students. The owner, has worked very hard running this school for 15 years and truly cares about each student. Her school is foundational and accredited. We are making some new changes moving forward, and we can’t wait to share them with you!!!😃 We are anticipating future growth and a smoother enrollment process, mostly done online. Come visit us! This school was a horrible experience, probably worst educational experience of my life. I wouldn't trust any of these reviews on the page because they're all from family or friends of the owner and family, so most of the 5 star reviews are completely biased. If I had the choice, I would've gone literally anywhere else no matter the cost or drive. The owner is very disorganized and has issues keeping track of anything or relaying correct information. I had many times I was told I could do something one way and then she'd tell me she told me the wrong information after I had completed it, so I had to completely re-do it. The teachers and owner are all related besides the exception of a couple instructors, so there's little to no accountability for instructors to actually do their job. Instructors would rarely, if ever, teach, instruct, talk to me, or even remember what I was studying. There was one instructor who didn't speak to me once the entire time I was there. There was only one instructor who was doing their job, and she was extremely strained. I basically had to teach myself and do everything myself. I was maybe taught like 3 total things from instructors at this school. The only thing the school does is make you take appointments for them and barely explain what you need to do, at least for esthetics. You might get better instruction if you're going into being a cosmetologist. The only pros are that they care so little that at least you can have a job and have a flexible schedule with them. That's literally the only pro to this school. It felt like they only cared about money and getting your money. While I was there, there was another student in the master esthetics program and they didn't have a licensed instructor at the school for most of her time there, and they don't have a lot of the devices or products estheticians use. The school is a mess, it's disorganized, unclean, and I don't even know how they're open. I'd give 0/5 stars if possible.
