Came for the first time for a haircut. Had Claire & would recommend. She went through what she would do, then an advisor came over & listened to what she was going to do. An advisor came before she blew dried my hair to give any feedback & then a final advisor came & asked if I was satisfied which I was. Price was very reasonable & the students get to practice. It's a win/win!

My sister recommended a stylist in training at the Aveda Institute in Ann Arbor while I was visiting. Her name is Claire Hissong. Not only did she listen to my request, she actually followed it. Claire was personable and a talented hair stylist. If I lived in Michigan I would be her client.

Amy A. was a truly wonderful student to work with. She took the time to both carefully listen and thoughtfully ask questions to ensure she understood exactly what I wanted with my hair. I appreciated how she offered objective, professional input that helped guide my decisions with confidence. When it came time to cut a significant amount (about six inches) Amy showed great awareness by seeking support from her instructor, Courtney. Courteny's guidance, paired with Amy’s dedication to learning, resulted in a fantastic final cut. It was a great experience—not only because of the end result, but because I could genuinely see the learning and growth happening in real time. I’d be happy to sit in Amy’s chair again, and kudos to Courtney for being a great support!
