I thought i'd give this salon a try because i've been on a tight budget lately but still wanted to treat myself to getting my hair done. I had been letting my roots grow out for almost a year and it was time for a change. I wanted to get either a balayage and have them bring my blonde length upwards to blend into my roots, or have them darken my hair and bring my dark root color down the entire length, whichever the student felt more comfortable with. They told me they couldn't do a balayage on me because my roots were too grown out? So they offered a full highlight with a color that matched the color of my root. I said ok, i trust you guys. As long as my roots are blended, i don't care. I sat in the chair for 5.5 hours, ended up being there past the time the salon closed, and the stylist was rushing my blow dry to get me out of there and i didn't even get a chance to look at the results fully from all angles until i got home, when i noticed MY ROOTS WERE BLATANTLY STILL NOTICEABLE. (photos included) i went back the next day and showed the receptionist, she told me i could come back later that day for a color redo, free of charge. I say okay great. I have a new student this time, i explain what happened, told her specifically that i wanted my roots to be blended in with the rest of my hair, they offered me a partial highlight with a color that matched my length this time, a lighter blonde, and i said that's perfect. She finishes, blow dries me, and somehow my hair is worse than before. The partial highlight sticks out from the rest of my hair and it's completely two different colors. I was so defeated and sick of being there i accepted my losses and left. I got home, tried to hide the noticeably different color on top of my head, AND THE REST OF MY ROOTS STILL ARENT BLENDED!!! How is that so hard?! These people are supposed to be teaching how to do hair?! Neither time i went, did an instructor ever come over and thoroughly check the students work. They don't come to check on the students. Horrible experience, now i'm out $120 and still have to get my hair fixed.

My grandmother and I came in today and received awesome service. I worked with Iris, who was personable and thorough. She asked many questions to better understand the haircut I wanted, which I quite appreciated. When the instructor came over, she seemed engaged and eager to learn. My grandmother worked with Stewart, who was gentle and attentive. He frequently checked in with her to ensure she was comfortable. She was initially hesitant because she was used to the previous aveda products, but he helped her find some new alternatives.

Riley Cervantes is one of the best!! I got a blow out, she was nice, accommodating, fast and thoughtful! She took the time to ask and see my hair type + concerns, she then offered to be make a custom shampoo/ conditioner “mix”, while explaining which each product did. She took the time to double wash and made sure I was comfortable. She was very professional and let me know everything she was doing while doing it. The quality of the blow out was amazing and made me feel great! She has some great skills, I am so happy that I got to leave the chair with smooth, shiny hair!!
