Norwalk Curriculum

Advanced Cosmetology (1800 hours)

Length of Course
Offered full time day. The Managing Cosmetology course takes approximately 53.3 weeks full time.

Objectives
Students will learn Sanitation, Scalp Care, Hair styling, Haircutting, Care of Wigs, Braiding, all chemical services, Manicuring, Pedicuring, Nail Enhancement, Skin Care, Cosmetology laws, Communication skills, Advanced Techniques, salon management, including payroll, basic bookkeeping, inventory, taxes, hiring, training, public relations and health and public safety.

Tuesday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Senior students are required to attend in the student salon every other Saturday from 8:30am - 5:00pm

Advanced Manicure (300 hours)

Length of Course
Offered full time days. Managing Manicuring class will take about 3 months.

Objectives
The objective of this course is to train students in manicuring, pedicuring, artificial enhancements and various areas of sales management. Student will learn manicuring and pedicuring of the nails, sanitation and sterilization and the anatomy of the skin, nails and muscles The students will also learn basic accounting, payroll methods, inventory control, state and federal taxes, public relations, public health and safety. After successful completion of the course, and passing the State Board of Cosmetology examination, the student will be qualified to work in, manage or own a nail salon.

Tuesday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm
Senior students are required to work in the student salon every other Saturday from 8:30am-5:00pm

Advanced Esthetics (750 hours)

Length of Course
Offered full time day. The Managing Esthetics course takes approximately 25 weeks full time.

Objectives
The objectives of this course to train the students to successfully pass the state examination and to begin employment at entry level position in a number of professional facilities. The subjects included but not limited too are skin analysis, exfoliating treatments, massage, treatments with and without machines and make-up application.

Monday and Thursday 8:30am - 5:00pm.
Upon completion of this course a graduate would have both theory and practical experience to work in a salon, day spa, plastic surgeon or dermatologist office in performing various skin care treatments and make-up application. Cruise line, photography studios, professional product lines are other key sources of employment.

Our Goal

The staff of instructors and school administrators are profoundly dedicated to the education of hair design and nail techniques. Our goal is to train students in art, science, marketing and professionalism in the work place. The instructors will work closely with each student while giving them a hands on experience.
