Jenny was very kind and genuinely tried to give me what I wanted. Unfortunately, I later noticed the color on top was much more orange than the bottom — the lower layers pulled a beautiful mahogany tone, but the lighter 20-volume color used on top didn’t blend as well. When I reached out to ask about a toner recommendation, she became short with me and said my hair looked nothing like the inspo photos I showed her, even though I had clearly chosen one of them. That response surprised me after such a pleasant appointment and spending $125. Overall, I appreciated her effort and kindness during the visit, but the follow-up left me disappointed. I wasn’t looking to complain, just to understand what color i should buy to tone if I didn’t want my hair to be that color for three full days— and I wish the conversation had ended with a bit more care and understanding. Jenny I wish you the best. I wish our messages crossed paths with more of a clear intent. I really just thought you'd help me chose a color from the store to buy. Sorry it unfortunately ended the way it did.

Had my orientation and wasn’t told til about a week before classes that my fin aid wouldn’t cover the full term, I’d have to pay 150/month to go and they don’t have any scholarships aside from 1 1000$ scholarship for attendance. I was also spam called the entire process. They also charge an extra 25 to go at night. Everything about this school feels like a mlm. At the orientation, we were given a bracelet and a folder with a book about what to expect. During the tour, I received a heavier book with basically the same thing. The orientation had us here listening to other students use enthusiastically reasons to love attending. They also asked us to leave this review. I’m not sure if they even accept other scholarships but they seem to teach you everything.

I had an amazing experience at Empire Beauty School thanks to Jackie Jones! He did a phenomenal job on my retwist — super gentle with my hair and not rough at all, which I really appreciated. Jackie kept great communication throughout the whole process, explaining each step and making sure I was comfortable. He's incredibly personable and hilarious — we had great conversations the entire time. On top of that, he educated me on proper dreadlock maintenance and how to take better care of my hair. I walked out not just looking good, but also feeling more confident about my hair care routine. Jackie Jones is truly talented and professional. Highly recommend him if you’re looking for someone who knows what they’re doing and makes the experience enjoyable
