Did a major chop! Jayne was attentive to detail, focused on the work, and very easy to chat with. She took her time making sure the length and cut was just right.

I visit my regular hairstylist who is amazing, but she wasn't available due to her salon being flooded in Cranston. Feeling the need for a change in my hair immediately, I remembered hearing about a cosmetology school offering services at a lower price. So, I decided to give them a try, and I'm truly glad I did. My experience was amazing. My hairstylist's name was Gaelle, and she took her time with me, being gentle, friendly, respectful, talkative, and attentive throughout. The salon teacher, Justin was also incredible. He made me feel inspired to consider attending cosmetology school myself, given how much I was learning in the short time I was there. From my perspective, he was very attentive to his students' needs, offering assistance and alleviating any doubts I had. I see myself returning here again for sure and I genuinely appreciate Gaelle for her fantastic work. The only downside is that being students, the services may take a bit longer than usual, I arrive at the salon at 9:30 and didn’t leave until 11:50am for a wash cut and style but it's all part of the learning experience. So, ensure your schedule is clear and communicate that beforehand. Overall, I would honestly give it a five-star rating.

I went recently to get my hair cut and dyed back to brown and while the people who worked with me were very kind I could hear students talking negatively about my hair and saying things like I should just leave, asking why I was still there. I know there is a chance they were talking about another patron at the salon but regardless it made me uncomfortable for my entire experience knowing that they students are so harsh about their clients and couldn’t shake the feeling that I wasn’t wanted there. It was to the point I heard Gail (very sweet lady!) tell them to “be nice” and stop. Unfortunately as well my hair is quite orange and not very brown, but I do understand I was a special case and that is why it didn’t quite work out! I will say they take a long time so prepare for that when planning a visit here. I very much appreciate the people who helped me out and tried to make me feel more comfortable!!
