Florida Academy has been an incredible place to learn barbering, and I’m truly grateful to be a student here. The instructors genuinely care about your success and take the time to make sure you understand not just the how, but the why behind everything. Ms. Penni, our general science teacher, does an amazing job breaking down the science side of barbering in a way that’s easy to understand and actually interesting. Mr. Craig, who has been my taper cuts and fades, is top-tier. His attention to detail, real-world experience, and hands-on teaching style have helped me level up my skills tremendously. Mrs. Dee, our foundational cuts teacher, is amazing at building strong fundamentals. She emphasizes proper technique, structure, and precision, making sure you develop a solid base that everything else builds off of. Overall, Florida Academy provides a positive, professional environment that truly prepares you for a real career in barbering. If you’re serious about barbering, this is the place to be.

My name is Sydney. Florida Academy has been an amazing place to learn and grow. From day one, I felt supported, encouraged, and motivated to become the best professional I can be. The instructors truly care about our success and take the time to make sure we understand both the technical skills and the real-world expectations of the beauty industry. The hands-on training is top-notch, and the environment is respectful, positive, and inspiring. I’ve gained confidence in my skills, learned proper sanitation and professionalism, and feel prepared for my future career. Florida Academy doesn’t just teach you how to do hair—it teaches you how to succeed. I’m grateful to be a student here and would highly recommend Florida Academy to anyone serious about building a career in cosmetology or barbering. We do fashion show and I am now confident in myself because everyone encourages you to be the best.
