This place is the best salon in Boulder. It's refreshing to see students learning the hair technique/trades as well. I have been going to Eileen for a long time and her & her staff always deliver professional and fantastic haircuts & hair treatment. Meryl has been my hair specialist for a few years now and I'm so happy & lucky to have her! Thank you Kantor & Co.!!

I had an unfortunate experience with the management/front desk. I walked in for a haircut and asked the cost for a short haircut since they were advertising a promotional rate for walk-ins, starting at $25. However, before anyone agreed to cut my hair, a number of the stylists discussed in front of me who would cut my hair. This did not feel welcome and I said I could leave if it was too much trouble. In the end they set me up with an assistant who did a reasonable job. However, when my cut was finished, I prepared to pay with a credit card. They told me that my card was declined, which seemed strange since that doesn't typically happen. I walked home and called with 2 additional cards, and again they told me they were both declined. I called all of my credit card companies and they each told me that none of the cards had been run. It's clear to me that Kantor didn't want my business and made sure that I would not feel welcome to return. This is a poor way to run a business, having been a small business owner myself for several decades. I would not recommend this place and certainly will not return. Response to salon: The key piece of information here is that the card was not run, but I was told that it was declined. I confirmed this with my bank. In total your salon "ran" 3 cards and told me that they were all declined. Again, the banks all stated to me that the cards were never run. Moreover, yes you let me leave without paying, but it appears that you didn't run my card. I promptly returned with a check. I agree, you're definitely not the salon for me. You appear to be selective on how you treat certain customers. Perhaps I don't fit your preferred profile.

Absolutely phenomenal cut and blond coloring from Eileen! I have "difficult" hair that is unusually slow to process and has been really messed up by other stylists a few times. Eileen took such care to understand exactly how my hair has behaved in the past, what I wanted in terms of color and style, and then to create a really perfect, bright, natural blond. She's also just a delight to get to know and has created a salon with a warm, friendly feel. I now consider myself a lifetime customer!
