I cannot speak for their program efficacy, but whoever is working in admissions and transcript processing doesn’t appear to work efficiently enough to ensure that students will have paperwork processed in less than six months; absolutely ludicrous! How do you folks do business this way?

The college is academically strong; however, my experience with the International Students Office was disappointing. I faced ongoing delays and poor communication, which directly affected important processes. Unfortunately, this situation became a major reason for my decision to leave the college. I hope the administration addresses these issues to better support international students.

They don't care about their students or their mental health. Denied me financial aid for 2 semesters, even after I get diagnosed with ADHD they will not consider a 2nd appeal. During COVID and the few semesters that followed I had withdrew from the same class a few times. This semester I got diagnosed with ADHD and tried to come back strong with a good head on my shoulders and brought my GPA up past 2.0. Yet this wasn't enough as my pace of progression was down to 40% which turned into 48% this semester. NO way can I afford 3 more semesters before it gets to 67%. I got an A in the class I had attempted multiple times weighing down my pace of progression so much. The first ever A I've ever got on my transcript. You would think a COMMUNITY college would slightly understand the mental health implications of something like COVID on a young student. I was only 20-22 living all by myself depressed with 0 peers. You can change everything, go to the doctor and make all the right decisions but MCC will not care. Maybe I did mess up a little and withdrew, but its withdrew not failed, never expected it to cost me this much. I tried to come back and worked hard for a year getting my work done while working full time and it still is not enough even after getting diagnosed with ADHD. Now I probably will have to find a different school which is sad cause MCC is a nice community college.
