Editor's Description

For over 40 years, the Montgomery Beauty School has been training students in professional cosmetology and barbering. A student review on Indeed says about the school, "I had an excellent experience. I enjoyed learning everything I needed to know for my cosmetology and things to better my knowledge. I am glad I went to this school. It molded me into the stylist I am today."

You can complete your training program in as little as four to nine months, depending on full or part-time enrollment. Day classes begin the first Monday, while evening classes kick off the first Tuesday of every month.

The 1,500-hour cosmetology program focuses on haircuts and hairstyling, but you also gain comprehensive hair braiding and skin care training. Full-time students graduate within nine months.

If you choose the 1,200-hour barber program, you'll learn shaving, hair design, haircutting, facial massage, and other hair treatments. Students can complete the barbering program in seven and a half months.

In 2019, the school had a graduation rate of 70.71%, and 100% of those students earned licensure.
