For over 40 years, the Montgomery Beauty School has been training students in professional cosmetology and barbering. A student review on Indeed says about the school, "I had an excellent experience. You can complete your training program in as little as four to nine months, depending on full or part-time enrollment. Day classes begin the first Monday, while evening classes kick off the first Tuesday of every month.
The 1,500-hour cosmetology program focuses on haircuts and hairstyling, but you also gain comprehensive hair braiding and skin care training. Full-time students graduate within nine months.
If you choose the 1,200-hour barber program, you'll learn shaving, hair design, haircutting, facial massage, and other hair treatments. Students can complete the barbering program in seven and a half months.
In 2019, the school had a graduation rate of 70.71%, and 100% of those students earned licensure.
