My grandmother brought my siblings and I at this particular beauty school for decades. I am 32 years old and occasionally will drop in and get a quick wash and set. I can tell you the organization has completely shifted for the worst. I am so disappointed. Saturdays are convenient for me. I tend to go early. My experiences lately have been horrible. Each time I visit, it’s the same rude, lazy and unprofessional instructor. Mr. Jeff is his name. I try to be patient with people because I know we all have baggage we carry but once you enter the place of employment, you have to leave that negative energy at the door. Your customers come first and must be handled with respect and care. Mr. Jeff will sit in the front or will be getting his hair braided by a student. I have never seen him walk around the room and assist his students while they worked on their clients. I’ve noticed his interactions with customers that enter the building, he wouldn’t greet them with a courtesy smile. He would just ask them what service they want and tell them to sign the document on the clip board that stays on the counter. If there are no available students on the floor, he’ll be quick to say “there’s no one to do your hair.” Like how rude is that? I’m sure he won’t last long here. I will continue to stop in and get my quick wash and will continue to complain to management until he’s dismissed from this location. I genuinely like the convenience of this beauty school and I won’t allow him to stop me from getting my hair done here. This is like a childhood hair salon for me. Anyway, avoid Mr. Jeff or experience him for yourself. Hopefully your encounter is better than mine. For the previous reviewer below- (tone m) The instructor you’re referring to is Mr. Jeff. I will actually call management tomorrow and encourage them to read our reviews on here.
