Cosmetology Program

Tuition: $16,300.00, 1500 hours

We educate and train our students (or as we call them, Future Professionals) to begin their careers in the beauty industry as licensed cosmetologists. Future Professionals are guided by our Learning Leaders through the cosmetology program’s three levels—Core, Adaptive, and Creative—taking on more advanced techniques and building real-world skills and confidence as they move through each stage. Our cosmetology program curriculum includes Paul Mitchell Advanced Education’s proprietary Cutting System, Color System, Texture System, Short Hair System, and Makeup System.

Barber School

Tuition: $11,800.00, 1200 hours

The modern-day barbershop trend is evolving. More and more consumers want a comfortable space where they can get the full, traditional barber experience by a professional, state-licensed barber. Students (or as we call them, Future Professionals) are guided by our Learning Leaders through the barbering program’s three levels—Core, Adaptive and Creative—taking on more advanced techniques and building real-world skills and confidence as they move through each stage.

Esthetician School

Tuition $11,400.00, 600 hours

Learn the science of healthy skin. We train you hands-on in classical professional techniques and skincare innovations and technologies—plus the business skills you’ll need. From skin analysis, ingredient technology and prescriptive retailing to waxing and makeup techniques, our program offers preparation for a career as a skincare therapist.

Located about 20 minutes outside Baltimore, Paul Mitchell's Jessup location has been open for two decades and shows no signs of slowing down. This location offers training in cosmetology and barbering, and the program not only trains Future Professionals (what Paul Mitchell calls its students) but involves them in their communities through a variety of charity events.

Paul Mitchell—Jessup is at the forefront of modern learning, assuring students always have access to schoolwork, career advice, and more via their online services. They even provide an iPad in every student kit.

Their cosmetology program is split into three levels:

  • Core: Haircutting and styling and nail technology basics, among other introductory topics
  • Adaptive: Practicing skills in a realistic salon-like setting
  • Creative: Independent work, portfolio creation, test prep, and career preparation

They also offer an optional phase two, which involves advanced training in creative and business skills.
