PONTOTOC TECHNOLOGY CENTER does security and private investigator training. Has a very experienced in law enforcement instructor. In Ada Oklahoma which is about 65 miles from okc. I am for any training that will keep people from giving up trying to better themselves.

My husband, son and daughter have all gone through the LPN program at Pontotoc Technology Center. They have the best instructors! My husband and son passed the nursing exam on their first try. My daughter is going through the program right now. I have complete confidence that she will learn what she needs to know.

The staff are professional, helpful and add to the overall positive experience while attending this school. I have one major BUT as to why I’m giving 3 stars. In the short time I attended this school for the Cosmetology program, there was a LOT of unnecessary and unprofessional things that happened- regarding the teacher. I don’t usually go on a rant about something or someone, unless it’s called for, in this situation, it’s necessary. I’m very passionate about cosmetology, and education. I knew a bit about cosmetology before I walked into PTC for my first day of school in August. The new teacher that was hired, (Cynthia Atchico) promised us that first day to teach us everything we need to know about cosmetology so we could become not only great hair stylists, but the BEST; doesn’t practice what she preaches. Within the first month, students weren’t coming to class because they felt they weren’t learning, or they would leave mid day for a ‘mental clarity day’ as we called it, stress and anxiety was rising as well, due to conflicting standards from the teacher. Students (including myself) addressed said issues(amongst others that are to remain confidential), SEVERAL times with the principal, and counselor, only to have nothing done about it. I ended up dropping out of the program, after only attending for 2 months. In those 2 months, I lost 20lbs, was stressed out, anxious, and wasn’t myself. I do plan on continuing my education at another school, as soon as I can. I’m writing this to warn others, please do not go to the cosmetology program if you actually want to learn something. Your mental health is more important than your education, and you can find a better school somewhere else! I pray they hire a better teacher ASAP so the students can actually have a good education!
