Our School and Professional Educators

If you have been dreaming about a career in the cosmetology field, then it’s time to wake up and consider enrolling in one of the programs offered through the Stafford Signature School of Cosmetology at Stafford Technical Center. Located in Rutland, Vermont just a few miles away from the beautiful Killington Peak, we offer a rare combination of advantages for future professionals who are looking for a small school environment that will provide a well-rounded educational experience that will deliver the knowledge and skills needed to become a confident professional ready to work in a salon or spa environment. And students in each program go beyond the textbook and traditional classroom experience by having the opportunity to participate in regional trade shows and providing services in our salon, spa and clinic to customers. Our interactive classroom experiences are facilitated by trained and licensed beauty educators whose primary focus will be to prepare you to take the Vermont state licensing examination after successfully completing your specific program.

School Size and Calendar

We cap enrollment at just (14) fourteen students per cohort per program. Students enroll as a cohort, beginning and ending each program together. Education and training in each program varies, but the design of the programs allow most students to continue employment in their current occupation. Enrollment is part-time for all students, so the program takes a bit longer for you to complete than most cosmetology programs. But regardless of the length of your program the time spent with your classmates and teacher cannot help but create an environment of support where friendships and relationships are developed and are maintained even after you complete the program.
