I had my hair cut and styled by Ryen Quilty and she did an excellent job! She was very friendly, asking questions about what I wanted and how I felt about my hair along the whole process. She was eager to learn how to work with my curls, and knew when to ask questions. I am ecstatic with not only my hair, but the overall experience. My hair is so much healthier, and looks amazing!

Miserable student experience for me. Educator turnover rate is almost as high as their egos. Favoritism runs rampant. I think some only work there as a sort of power play. My education started off fine in the classroom and quickly worsened once I started taking clients on the floor. On busy days things get hectic and instructors are stretched thin. There is little to no instruction once you start a client, they sign off on whatever, write you a color formula and then it is your responsibility. If you need more instruction you have to chase down an instructor and wait in line for their input. I’ve had a couple clients that needed to be redone because of an instructors formula. When that happened I had an instructor blame me and say, “well you put it on their head.” If you refuse to take a client they send you home. If you are uncomfortable taking a client they send you home. If you miss certain days there are fees. If certain instructors are having a bad day they will take it out on a student or another staff member. I’ve seen students try to stand up for themselves and get suspended. Best thing to do is not cause any big waves. Instructors would preach professionalism to the students and then show us the definition of unprofessionalism through their actions. Multiple students have had problems similar to mine. I ended up missing a ton of days due to personal reasons and now owe the school a lot of money. Some students may have a better experience than me, some may have it worse. I definitely was not a model student, I saw how fake everything was and couldn’t pretend to enjoy my time there. I think for the amount of money they charge combined with the horrible year I just had it was not worth it for me.
