My experience at Tricoci University has truly given me an understanding of what a real salon experience feels like. From the beginning, my instructors made me feel comfortable trying new things, stepping outside of my shell, and growing into the stylist I am today. There was a lot of mannequin work throughout the program, which really prepared me for working with real clients. Once I got onto the clinical floor, I was able to gain real-world experience with client interaction, formulation, consultations, and adapting to different situations. Ms. Laura taught me the fundamentals, punctuality, dexterity, and the importance of having a strong foundation. Ms. Mandy and Ms. Felicia continued that growth on the clinical floor by challenging us, teaching us new techniques, and helping us identify areas where we could improve. One of the things I appreciated most was that the program exposed me to so much more than I originally expected. We had guest speakers who genuinely spoke life into us, guest stylists who taught us new techniques, and field trips that gave us insight into different areas of the beauty industry—from salons and beauty supply stores to professional salon-only retailers. I came into school thinking I would primarily be a braider, but I’m leaving with an interest in color and a much deeper understanding of healthy natural hair. I was also taught how to market myself and think of myself as a professional and a business owner, not just a hairstylist. I want to give a special shoutout to Ms. Felicia, Ms. Mandy, and Ms. Laura. Each of them taught me something different and took the time to truly get to know me. I also deeply appreciate Ms. Doris, our campus director, and Ms. Selena for the impact they made and for making things happen for the students. And Ms. Marge, our receptionist, deserves recognition too. Some of the clients she connected me with challenged me in ways I didn’t always expect, but those experiences taught me how to adapt and become more confident. I went through a lot during my time in school, and one of the things I’ll always appreciate is having instructors and staff who never gave up on me. They pushed me, challenged me, encouraged me, and helped shape me into the stylist I’m becoming. I’m truly grateful for my experience at Tricoci University and for everyone who played a part in my journey. I’m leaving with more than just technical skills—I’m leaving with confidence, real-world experience, and a much clearer vision for the stylist I want to become.

Ms. Felicia was an amazing teacher! She was always professional, attentive, and supportive while allowing us the freedom to be creative. She made school fun and was truly everyone’s cheerleader. She constantly pushed us to be great and believe in ourselves. Thank you, Ms. Felicia, for everything! ❤️

Tricoci University has been an amazing experience for me! I’m so grateful for everything I learned during my time here. The instructors are knowledgeable, supportive, and truly want to see their students succeed. I gained so much hands-on experience and confidence in hair, beauty, and cosmetology. The school provides a great learning environment and gives students the opportunity to practice real salon skills while preparing for their careers. I especially appreciate the guidance and encouragement I received throughout my journey. If you’re passionate about the beauty industry and looking for a school where you can learn, grow, and build your confidence, I definitely recommend Tricoci University. I’m proud to be a Tricoci graduate and excited to take everything I learned into my career!
