Short dark haired cosmetology teacher is extremely condescending, has no respect for people even around her age or older, treats everyone like kids even though she’s in her mid 40’s. not good at what she does and is even worse at teaching. don’t go here.

I received a Boces mailing that said people can get car repairs at the school for low cost. I signed up for this at the West Sayville/Oakdale Suffolk class. I had about three or four repairs done without a problem. There was also no problem making appointments. The instructor that I dealt with was named John Mazeika. The last time that I was there I got the car back in a condition where I could not complete my yearly inspection. I was under a time deadline at the time. I called John to ask what this situation was, I was told that they had to clear codes for the repair. Apparently this stops you from completing an emissions test. He said you have to drive it 150 miles to get it ready for the test. The pending inspection could be seen on the windshield and it seemed that they could have given me a heads up but I didn't even mention this. I just asked what was happening. It turned out that I had to drive 300 miles to get it ready with a time deadline. I wondered during this period if it was going to correct at all as this situation was something new to me. After this occurrence whenever I called John would have an excuse not to do a repair. either a problem with the repair itself or a time of school year issue. As stated this was the exact opposite of my previous appointment experience. I got the impression that I was being punished for them giving me a car back that could not be inspected. Who would not call to ask why they could not get their car inspected ? If there was a legitimate problem I would think that they would say it. During the course of this situation I had a growing feeling that I did not want to deal with this individual at all. Not paying regular repair costs is good but there are other more important considerations. Should they be allowed to treat people like this because they are getting inexpensive repairs? I brought this full situation to the attention of the department principal/manager named Jennifer Martino at the suggestion of staff. I related the situation and asked if I was in good standing. She said yes that she hadn't gotten anything saying that I wasn't. I was hoping that she would set this situation right. This apparently didn't help. The next time I called John he had multiple excuses again. I asked if I was in good standing and he did not answer. It ended up that he hung up on me. I was hoping they had the management to deal with this type of treatment. If there was a valid problem I think that it is easy enough to say what it is.

I had roctors during test that this heavy set old dark haired woman described my nails as being disgusting & gross. Harassed everything I did ever step of the way…. It was absolutely humiliating & I will be reporting her. I brought extra supplies bc that’s what I was TOLD TO DO BIA STATE RULES. I wanna know who the proctors were at that test site especially dark haired older lady! I hope she’s not allowed to speak to me during the test unless I’m doing things that are illegal to what the test requires, cheating, even talking I didn’t feel like I was that a test site I felt like I was being grilled with her standing over my table and asking me questions like what are you doing if she didn’t like the way I was doing stuff and I was the only one that was changing my paper towels and my manicure towel for every step we did while everyone else use the same one they put on the table from the beginning and two students that I know and do not speak with showed up 20 to 25 minutes late and they were allowed to take the exam and where they wanted! I experienced prejudice & humiliation & I don’t want it happening to anyone else! I will give this place zero stars if I can get away with it but that’s just not the way it works but I’m not stopping here I’m gonna make sure this person cannot do this again to anyone on any state exam! All I showed up to do was take my nail practicum and that’s not what happened! I don’t ever hear of proctors standing over a person during any exam asking what are you doing if you take a second to analyze and wait until your primer dries and ask you in a very disrespectful way “what are you doing and I wasn’t even doing that for more than two minutes we had 30 minutes to complete this part of the test. I found out I WAS NOT THE ONLY ONE THIS HAPPENED TO! But I’m putting a STOP to it!
