I decided to Sign up for classes at Houston Training School on East Frwy. After going to various other beauty schools and not being received with a welcoming manner. Here at Houston Training School the admin and staff receive you with a welcoming manner as soon as you walk in the door. I watched various customer walk in and all greeted so nicely. The admin and teachers are friendly and motivate you to do your best! Loved the environment as soon as I walked in. Recommend if for sure!

Loved the experience, everybody was really nice. The student who cut my hair was very attentive to what I wanted and tried to get as much details as possible of what I wanted. She did a good job and gave me exactly what I wanted, her instructor even came to do my bangs and check her work. I was a little disappointed that the instructor cut a little too much and didn't really regard how apart I wanted my layers. Overall though, I think it came out cute just a little different than what I wanted.

I recently graduated from Houston Training School, and I can honestly say it taught me so much. My absolute favorite instructor was Mrs. Garcia. She is an amazing teacher, and I love her so much. She shared so much knowledge with us, especially in color theory and haircuts, and even trusted me to cut her own hair. That meant a lot to me. She was always kind, fair, patient, and genuinely wanted her students to succeed. One thing I'll say is that you truly get out of this school what you put into it. If you choose to stay in the background and avoid taking clients, you'll leave with only the basic knowledge. The hands-on experience of working with real clients is what helped me grow, build my confidence, and succeed. If you're willing to put in the effort, ask questions, and take every opportunity to learn, Houston Training School can prepare you for a successful career in cosmetology.
