I recently visited for a hair wash and blow-dry, and while the service itself was great once I was actually served, the overall experience left something to be desired.
I booked a 9:00 a.m. wash and blow-dry appointment online and was assigned a specific stylist (Riley). I arrived early at 8:53 a.m., expecting to be checked in and greeted like any other guest. Instead, from the moment I walked in, I was not greeted, acknowledged, or welcomed at all. It felt as though staff were confused about why I was there. Meanwhile, every guest who arrived after me was warmly greeted, checked in, and taken back by their stylist. I remained seated and unacknowledged while others—who appeared to have the same 9:00 a.m. appointment time—were taken back well before 9:15.
By 9:15 a.m., I was still sitting alone in the waiting area while everyone else had already begun their services. At that point, I genuinely considered walking out, as it was very clear that I was not being prioritized or valued. Eventually, someone did come for me. She was wonderful, professional, and provided a great service. This review is not a reflection of her at all. However, the fact that I was only acknowledged once she stepped in made the situation even more uncomfortable as she was not the stylist assigned to me and no one let me know the reason why the last minute change. To make matters worse, my service was also misunderstood. I booked a simple wash and blow-dry, yet staff assumed I wanted a thermal straightening treatment. I can’t help but feel that this assumption was made simply because my hair is not naturally straight. There was also no consultation at any point, even though I was interested in becoming a regular and returning for a haircut. The instructors did not check in or observe how services were going, which made the experience feel disconnected and impersonal. What makes this experience especially disappointing is that I have been to this salon before, around 2015–2016, and at that time I felt comfortable. The contrast between then and now makes this visit even more troubling. While the hair wash and blow-dry itself were done well, the lack of basic courtesy, the delay, the assumptions about my hair, the absence of consultation and instructor involvement, and the overall unwelcoming atmosphere made this a deeply negative experience. I strongly encourage this school to reflect seriously on inclusivity, professionalism, and how clients of all backgrounds are treated from the moment they walk through the door. That being said I personally do not think I would return nor recommend this location to anyone.

I had a wonderful haircut from Chloe!!!! She took time and listened to what I wanted and actually did what I wanted! Had great conversation! I still love my haircut a month later, and can't wait to have more stuff done with Chloe. There was an older teacher that came over and asked what I wanted and was not nice and felt like she was questioning what I wanted. There was another teacher a little bit younger, with red hair that was so nice and eager to teach Chloe new techniques!
