This being my first year here I’ve had a great experience at Lone Star Kingwood. I work as a work-study and all the staff I’ve met are welcoming and lovely. In terms of education, all of my professors have been thorough and professional. Especially professor Easley, she has extra videos online and always loves being asked questions. There are also many events that go on campus that aim to help the students here. Events like transfer and health fairs, community food fairs, and information sessions.

I had a great experience at the LSC—Kingwood Testing Center. From scheduling to payment and completing my exams, everything was smooth and well organized. What really stood out was the excellent customer service from Rae in the Testing Center. She’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and went out of her way to help me through the process of taking my two Fire Science exams. As someone who isn’t an LSC student, I really appreciated her guidance since I'm not familiar with the college itself. On top of that, she gave me some encouragement prior to my testing and it was honestly refreshing to encounter good customer service in today's world. I highly recommend asking for Rae if you need to take an exam at this location. She’s a great asset and ensures you have the correct information every step of the way.

Lonestar is an absolute disgrace to the idea of what an institution of higher learning should be. My SO and I both applied, registered, enrolled in classes, waited for ALMOST TWO MONTHS for Financial Aid information, including daily phone calls and multiple visits to the campus. Both of us were dropped because Financial Aid and Advising could not seem to get on the same page. My SO is Blind and their disability services were an absolute joke. The advisors are crass, APATHETIC, and rude, specifically Adam Flores. The people at the financial aid counter try but it's difficult to even speak to the person you actually need to speak to. The requirements to take just the classes you need for your degree are wild and are a huge waste of time and money. We have enrolled in an entirely different college and its been much more efficient and helpful. The entire process is already done in a weeks time with financial aid applied whereas lonestar would be making us sit out yet another semester. I would not recommend anyone attempt this location.
