I had a very disappointing experience with Anna. This was supposed to be a special moment for my little girl’s very first haircut—a memory we were excited to share as a family. Instead of politely explaining any rules or procedures, Anna was extremely rude and blunt, telling me, “You can’t be here, you need to wait in the lobby.” Her tone and approach completely ruined what should have been a joyful moment.
Anna showed very poor communication and people skills throughout the process. A stylist should know how to make families feel comfortable, especially during a child’s first haircut, but she did the opposite. Absolutely unprofessional in both communication and customer service.
I would not recommend her at all.

First to note: I loved my stylist and this is not a reflection on him. Students are super professional and I would highly recommend anyone looking for highlights on a budget to come here and ask for phase 2 students. My experience yesterday however was a little rough because it seems there are too few instructors for the amount of services and needs on a Friday. I spend 7 hours attempting to get a color that did not work and there was no guidance for this student throughout the process. I am back to blond with brittle hair due to the corrections that had to take place to return me to blond. This was a very knowledgeable students but instructors should have been more present during a color change that this student had little to no experience with.

Update: Had another EXCELLENT experience today. Giving a Shout Out to Master Hairstylist SungAh "Lisa" Hong. She is OUTSTANDING in how she pays attention to every detail to ensure her customers receive their desired color, cut, and style. Want to also acknowledge her teacher/supervisor, Lesli, for selecting SungAh to be in Phase Two. Lesli has an eye for Top Notch talented young Paul Mitchell Professionals.
Last week, I posted my first negative review experience with Paul Mitchell The School Charlotte. The next day I called and scheduled a re-do appointment to provide the opportunity to correct the missteps made by last week's floor supervisor, not the stylist. Paul Mitchell is committed to providing quality hair care services and takes seriously customer satisfaction. Yesterday's re-do was a successful experience. My stylist, Max, was permitted to use his judgment and skills. He consulted with floor supervisor, Lesli, who treated Max like a professional colleague. During my re-do consultation, Lesli asked Max his thoughts and what techniques Max would use to produce the desired results. Lesli affirmed Max's decisions, and he proceeded with the agreed upon root touch-up service. The results were fantastic and precisely the desired outcome discussed at last week's visit. KUDOS to Max, an outstanding professional stylist! Thank you, Lesli, for being an effective floor supervisor and allowing Max to use his skills and talents to provide the quality hair care services that Paul Mitchell The School Charlotte endorses and stands behind! Thank you to the front desk team for advising me on how to book a re-do appointment. I look forward to my next scheduled appointment. ~Very satisfied client~
