Horrible experience, I walked in with head full of hair now I’m bald. I went for some simple honey blonde highlights and a trim. The girl who did my hair seemed so experienced and sweet so I just knew she was going to do a good job. Was I wrong My hair ended up being over processed and brittle. It took literally 3 people to try and blow dry my hair. To the point I had to completely get up and walk out with wet hair. My hair is so dry to the point the blonde pieces are completely falling out in patches. I wish they would have told me that they were inexperienced with black natural hair and I would have went somewhere else. After I refused to pay for the service I didn’t ask for they decided to call the police and have me banned for trespassing after making me pay for something I didn’t ask for. I’ve called and asked to speak to the manager numerous of times and still yet haven’t heard from anyone. I ended up having to pay someone else to fix my hair and the recommended that I had to cut it off and start over.

I called and made an appt. They never said when I made the appt that they did not have a waiting area or that someone can not come in with you. I drove 30 min to the appt in a rainy thunderstorm. I get there and the door is locked. The lady makes me wait 5 min before she comes to the door to tell me to text the number with my name to let them know I was I was there and then lock the door back. You have to wait outside until they come get you. Again it was raining. I had my daughter with me to hang out while I got my services. After about 10 min she comes back to the door and said only the person with the appt can go in and my daughter (12) would have to stay in the car. Absolutely not!! I canceled my appt and will never go back.

Call and made an appointment, my appointment was at 9:30. Told the student I needed color and a cut and they said they would be able to do that. The color turned out awesome. While the color was on, they had me look through a book so I could pick out a haircut for them to go by. I wanted a short pixie cut. They had no short pixie cut pictures. I found a picture on my phone of a haircut I liked. I was told, the student needs a picture out of the book they use in order to cut my hair. The instructor told me the student would not have time to cut my hair today that I would need to come back. Yes I did get upset. The instructor kept going on and on about how it's a training school. I told them just rinse my hair I will go get it cut somewhere else. The instructor still kept going on and on about how they are in training. I finally asked the instructor just to shut up. I know it was rude of me to tell her to shut up. The instructor just had a nasty attitude. If they tell you on the phone they are able to cut and color your hair in one day then they should stand by their promise. I have been to other beauty schools and they always colored and cut my hair on the same day. I don't advise anyone to go in there and get their hair done. There are other beauty schools in Nashville that do awesome work I've been to them. I forgot to mention the student was awesome. She did a great job coloring my hair. The instructor just had a nasty attitude.

The Salon Professional Academy is a nationwide beauty school franchise with a location in Nashville.
On Facebook, Angelique Patterson raves, "I am a current Student of the academy that started in July of 2019 and I LOVE the education that I am taught-Facials, perms, relaxers, the science/art of color, and much more! The educators are all very thorough and take their time with the students while they are doing services on the floor as well as always being there for the guests and to help with any needs of the guest! I totally recommend to tour the school if you are interested in becoming a cosmetologist."
