Through the North Dakota State Board of Cosmetology, you can submit your application and proof of your educational hours. They charge a $75 licensing fee. As is the case in other states, you have to pass multiple licensing exams before becoming a licensed nail technician.

To become a licensed manicurist in the State of North Dakota, you will need the right nail tech program. Your training should include at least 350 hours of training. Once complete, you can take the state exam and qualify for initial licensure. If you obtain this, you will need to renew your license every year by December 31st, and pay a $20 fee with your application. North Dakota does not require continuing education courses for practitioners between renewal periods. But does require 8 of them for instructors every year.
