Louisiana Cosmetology License Renewal
Cosmetology licenses in Louisiana must be renewed every year by the licensee's birthday. It costs $25 to renew an in-state license, or $50 for an out-of-state renewal. Currently, no continuing education hours are required to renew your cosmetology license in Louisiana, but CEUs are always recommended to stay current in the industry. If you let your license remain expired for more than one year but fewer than three years, you must apply to have your license restored. If your license has been expired for less than two years but more than one year, you must pay a $50 renewal fee; the fee jumps to $100 if your license has been expired for at least two years.
