When you submit your barbering application, you must pay a $50 application fee and a $60 licensing fee. The licensing fee is only $30 if you are in the second year of a licensing cycle. You also have to verify that you have completed at least 1,200 hours of training at an approved barbering school. You can then take your written and practical exams.
