From there, you’ll need to earn 300 hours or more of instructor training within a 6-month timeframe. Or, you can take a full year of a junior instruction course for teachers. Instructors must take 16 continuing education units between each period of license renewal. The instructor license renews every two years before the expiration date, and you will have to pay a fee that is currently $50.
